PROJECT FARMHOUSE

This whole home renovation in Haggersville, ON, transformed an old farmhouse into a cozy country home with modern touches. A full main floor renovation, including the kitchen, dining area, living room, and front entry, was brought back to the bones.

Removing a load-bearing wall enabled us to open up the entire main floor, creating more space for an expansive kitchen and entertaining area. Leaning into the farmhouse aesthetic, a custom wood beam wrap was made to conceal the new steel beam.

New flooring extended throughout to keep the new spaces fluid yet full of character, but not before doing a complete re-grading and leveling of the original wavy subfloor. The original wood trim work was meticulously removed and salvaged for reuse. In contrast, new custom trim work was created to replicate the original and maintain a cohesive look with the rest of the old charm.

A second-floor refresh, including three bedrooms and a bathroom, was completed to bring new life into the spaces while staying within a budget-friendly update. New paint, lighting, and custom wardrobe built-ins transformed this part of the home into a fresh space. Completed with a touch of modern farmhouse styling, this space is ready for plenty of home-cooked meals and entertaining!
